Though both of these are touchscreen and music focused phones yet there are various differences like Nokia 5530 XpressMusic sports 2.9 inches touchscreen supporting 16 Million colors at 640 x 360 Pixels resolution while Nokia 5800 XpressMusic’s display is of 3.2 inches capable of displaying 16 Million colors at resolution of 640 x 320 Pixels. Both of the brothers are featured with Proximity sensor for auto turn-off, Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate & Handwriting recognition. In weight and dimensions both are very close to each other as former one carries 107 grams with 104 x 49 x 13 mm measurements while latter one is of 109 grams with 111 x 51.7 x 15.5 mm.

As above mentioned, both these are music centric phones, obviously loaded with high-end music features like Album Graphics Display, Stereo Speakers, Music Selection (Album, Artist, Composer & Genre), Playlist, Volume Key but besides these, 5800 XpressMusic also brings along 8 Band Graphic Equaliser, Bass Booster, Stereo Widening, Loudness & Media Bar Touch Screen (Music, Video, Images, Web, Share Online & Video Centre).
